Tasracing is pleased to announce that Mark Yole and Rohan Hillier will represent the state later this month at the Australian Drivers Championship.
This year’s championship will be held at Adelaide’s Globe Derby Park on Sunday night, 29 December.
The pair were automatic selections after finishing first and second on last season’s state premiership.
Mark Yole won last season’s state premiership with 99 wins and is currently in the third spot in this season’s title.
This year will be Yole’s fourth championship appearance, with his best result being a second place behind Gary Hall Jnr in 2019 when held in Hobart.
Rohan Hillier will claim this season’s premiership. He currently has 89 winners for the term, a career-best in the season for the driver.
He was runner-up to Yole last season with 88 wins.
Hillier was to represent the state in the 2022 series, but he forfeited his drives after flight difficulties prevented him from attending.
Other drivers participation are:
SA – Wayne Hill and Gaita Pullicino
VIC – James Herbertson and Chris Alford,
NSW – Ashleigh Delosa and Cam Hart (TBC),
QLD – Nathan Dawson and Grant Dixon,
WA – Deni Roberts and Gary Hall Jnr.
Since it’s introduction in 2014, the Australian Drivers Championship has been shared between South Australia and Tasmania. It has been held every year since except for 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
