Iseeubaby may have only started three times so far as a two-year-old, but with two wins and second placing to her name so far, her owner and breeder Tracey Massimini is seriously cashing in with the impressive double westbred bonuses on offer here in the west.
Iseeubaby has earned $26,637 in bonuses, on top of the $18,782 in stakes, with a combined total of $45,419 in just three race starts, it really does pay to invest in double westbred progeny.
With their first win alone, Tracey Massimini and John Graham pocketed $19,305.00 with her win the $9500 staked race at Bunbury, but just over a week ago at Gloucester Park, the pair walked away with $12,058 in stakes and a further $11,475.00 in double westbred bonuses.

The two-year-old filly by WA stallion Wesley is out of an unraced mare by the name of Icanseeu, who didn’t step foot on the racetrack due a club foot wreaking havoc on her soundness, but with a long-standing association with Sarah Wall, the decision to send his mare to Wesley was an easy one for trainer John Graham.
“I’ve known Sarah (Wall) since the day she was born and just saw him when Sarah got him, and he used to just free leg everywhere when he was a yearling,
“And obviously he won a stack of money as well, he was just a bombproof horse and I thought if he just throws one and they don’t have to be quite as good as him, just to win one race, you’ve got more than your money back.” Graham said
Graham, who was blissfully unaware just how much his filly hasn’t earned in bonuses did joke that although he mightn’t be aware how much his earned, his partner Tracey Massimini certainly would be.
Iseeubaby was supposed to race this last Friday in the Westsired 2YO Fillies event, but it has since been rescheduled for a later date. The date is yet to be confirmed.
“The two weanlings that I’ve had have just been perfect horses to do everything with, gate up, the other one, I will bring her back shortly, I think she broke up twice in one week and I just changed a bit of gear,
“But Iseeubaby, I think anyone could have broken her in and gaited her up, she was just a natural from the word go.”
Relatively confident in her ability, she does have a strong-willed temperament that causes some friction between the pair, but so far, she’s showing she has the ability to continue on.
“She’s got a little bit of a mind of her own, but she’s been good when she’s raced so far.”
Although he’s not breeding horses all that much anymore, his original plan was to stop altogether, but he has since changed his mind and is looking at sending Douseeme to Wesley, with injury cutting her racing career short.
Wesley is a son of Sportswriter USA and is out of El Jay Lombo, and with just 53 starts to his name, was a winner of 15 and placed in 12, with earnings of $163,184, with his win in the $50,0000 Monford Group Champagne Classic as a two-year-old in 2016 his biggest feature win.
Wall purchased Welsey before he was even fully formed, when El Jay Lombo was in foal from the east during Mick Lombardo’s dispersal sale.
“Dad had bought a mare and he suggested to us it could be a good opportunity given the mare was by Bettors Delight and had strong bloodlines,
“So we made an offer and picked her up for around $6000, she came over to WA and had her foal here at Lancefield Park in Boyanup, which was Welsey.”
John Graham is no stranger to double westbred success, once a part-owner in WA stallion Advance Attack, his biggest success story for him coming out of that line was Persistent Threat.
Persitant Threat won the $100,000 Clipsal WA Sales Classic for the 2YO Colts and Geldings in 2014, with the double westbred gelding winning a total of 14 races from 44 starts, and over $155,000 in stakes not including the double westbred bonuses on offer at that time.
