Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is a statutory body whose role is to oversee all harness racing activity in Victoria.  We are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence and grow returns to all our stakeholders.  We run around 450 race meetings per year at 26 tracks throughout Victoria. 

The Opportunity

A new opportunity for a casual Judge and Photo Finish Operator to join our team, and to work at our harness racing meetings across Victoria.

Reporting to the Stewards on race days, the Judge and Photo Finish Operator is responsible for operation and maintenance of the finish/timing system at race meetings, to determine the correct finishing order for each race.

The successful person must be able to attend Victorian day/night harness meetings, and must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

About You

• Experience in working as a judge /photo finish operator or similar, desirable
• Strong interest in harness racing
• Strong work ethic
• The ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work performed
• A high degree of personal integrity
• Strong attention to detail, time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• A valid Australian Drivers Licence, and ownership of a reliable vehicle
