Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

Grabbing a late closing 3rd here on Saturday night from this same gate, ZOOM PARTY (8) will be looking to hit the lane with the right momentum again here. Under 3m from the winner RACING TIME on Saturday, he was a Redcliffe winner two back and just needs the gap in time for this.

MAJIC MOMENT (9) tackled stronger company here on Saturday night where she was required to work in the run. Fading in the closing stages, it followed a hard finishing 3rd at Redcliffe. Finishing best over the middle trip here three starts back, she can issue a challenge here.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) was exposed in the early stages last start before cover arrived but could not go on with it. With all the favours on offer from this gate, he is a podium player.

ROCKIN IN PARADISE (5) can do plenty wrong and last start was banished for two trials after making an error. Only 1m away here two starts back, if the manners arrive, so can he.

SELECTIONS: ZOOM PARTY (8), MAJIC MOMENT (9), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1), ROCKIN IN PARADISE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Despite the wide gate, this looks well within the reach of BORELLA (6) who is a classy customer when on his game. Second up in a Peak of The Creek heat last start when the early heat took a toll over the closing stages, his first up effort when 2nd to OUR BENSON was strong.

JUDITH GWENDA (9) started from outside the second line over the middle trip here two starts back and came with the right run over the closing stages to post a 3m winning margin. Caught for position last start and forced to retreat, she can throw down the challenge here.

SCRUFFY (7) faces the ODM embargo after a last start error where he still produced a top effort to run on late and be just a head from the winner. He can be joining in.

SMOKESHOW (1) was wide off the track last start on The Triangle and just behind the money as AURORA JOY arrived. Only 5m away in a mare’s qualifier two starts back, the gate is a huge plus.

SELECTIONS: BORELLA (6), JUDITH GWENDA (9), SCRUFFY (7), SMOKESHOW (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BORELLA (6) to win

RACE THREE

Kept fresh since his last pouting when unplaced, MAJOR LINCOLN (9) has had four starts here at HQ for two placings. A Redcliffe winner five runs back when working hard from a wide gate and sticking on to score, he can secure the right trail through here to take his shot.

OYSTER STRIDE (2) does not get to the big deck that often at this stage of his career, but he looks set to appreciate the conditions on offer here. Under 5m from the winner and placed in successive runs four back, he can settle handy enough and can run the trip to challenge.

LA SABINA (1) defied gate 10 at the mile to score here four starts back and followed that with a close 2nd from a tough gate at Marburg. The gate gives her all the options to feature.

NASHVILLE BART (6) was making some good metres over the closing stages here two starts back when runner-up behind JUDITH GWENDA at this trip. The gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR LINCOLN (9), OYSTER STRIDE (2), LA SABINA (1), NASHVILLE BART (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Fading last start when sent out as the fav, TAIRLAW TOLL (4) worked in the run but was a spent force a long way from the wire. Placed in both prior starts from outside the front line, the gate improvement here is a huge plus and he gets the chance to dictate.

KICKATINALONGPONY (2) was beaten by  wide gate on Saturday when retreating and then unable to warm up as DUKE OF SCOTLAND darted through on the passing lane to score. Grabbing the bronze behind BOOTS ELECTRIC two starts back, he can challenge in this grade.

CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (6) bounced back into winning form last start when finishing best to grab a narrow victory. With some confidence from the victory, he can be chiming in.

LAST TIME JOE (8) has the options as the lone runner off the second line. Finishing hard to score at Marburg two starts back, he did not have the smoothest passage last time.

SELECTIONS: TAIRLAW TOLL (4), KICKATINALONGPONY (2), CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (6), LAST TIME JOE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TAIRLAW TOLL (4) to win

RACE FIVE

THE HARRIS HAWK (9) tackled a non-TAB contest at Redcliffe last start and loomed in the latter stages to grab the silver when 4m astern of ROCK HAMMER. Runner-up in three of his past four starts, he finds the right opportunity here to go one better.

MEGA STAR (6) was making late metres on the grass at Kilcoy two starts back to grab the silver and then last start was fresh up from inside the second line at Redcliffe. Fitter for that run, he finds a race within reach here and can issue the challenge.

BATMAN BART (10) would be better suited off the front line but still must be given consideration. Dictating to a PB win here two starts back, he can be making a play.
OCEAN LANE (5) has placed in four of her past five starts but has limited exposure here on the big deck. Runner-up from outside the second line at Redcliffe two back, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: THE HARRIS HAWK (9), MEGA STAR (6), BATMAN BART (10), OCEAN LANE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HARRIS HAWK (9) to win

RACE SIX

Overcoming the inside second line last start, MOMENTUM SWING (1) looked to be in all sorts when shuffled to four back. Finding space to attack the line for the win, he comes up with the options from this gate and gets his chance to capitalise.

ROBYN X (3) secured the ideal trip behind the speed last start to dart through and claim a mare’s qualifier. Forced to do all the heavy lifting outside the leader two starts back, she can be handy enough here to issue the challenge.

PARAMA (6) was hitting the line strongly last time out when grabbing the bonze behind MONSIEUR DELACOUR. Runner-up to LOCHINVAR JAG the start prior, he has good speed out of the machine and can be pressing forward to throw down the challenge.

CAPTAIN NEMO (4) has placed in three of his past four starts, the latest when looming strongly but just peaked in the closing stages when 2m from LUVBITE.

SELECTIONS: MOMENTUM SWING (1), ROBYN X (3), PARAMA (6), CAPTAIN NEMO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: 3

RACE SEVEN

Lightly raced 5YO GET USED TO IT (8) has a stack of ability that has seen him win four of his nine career starts to date. Returning from a spell over the 2300 at Menangle three runs back, an early error ended his chances. Bouncing back with a tough win, he has the class to put them away.

INSTANT DELIGHT (2) returns from an extended NSW campaign where she was able to win a race at Menangle and also claimed a 2nd two starts back. Coming off a 30m tape in that event when chasing home VIKSUN, a return to the front tape here is a huge asset in this line up.

HIDE AND SEEK (11) or is it Hide and Jekyll. At his best he is a jet but getting him to bring the manners and put it all together has been a frustrating time for connections. He is first up here.

PHOENIX RED (1) will appreciate the front-line tape after coming from marks in recent starts. Overcoming the 20m tape here two starts back with a narrow victory, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: GET USED TO IT (8), INSTANT DELIGHT (2), HIDE AND SEEK (11), PHOENIX RED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GET USED TO IT (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

MACS A DUDE (9)
is not ideally suited by the early scratching which will see him move to inside the second line. However, if any ounce of luck should come his way, he looks to get his chance to capitalise. Forget his last start when striking trouble, he will be probing.

SAN SABA (4) was making some late metres at Tamworth two starts back when under 2m from the winner after starting from the second line. Asked to hang tough when racing first over last start at Redcliffe, she can press forward to issue a challenge.

OUR UNCLE LES (2) showed early hustle to find the poles before releasing last start at Redcliffe and then with a late dive went within a half-head of victory. He can be thereabouts.

ROLLONX (6) rattled hard from outside the second line last time out to grab victory over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Beaten a half-head three starts back, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MACS A DUDE (9), SAN SABA (4), OUR UNCLE LES (2), ROLLONX (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MACS A DUDE (9) to win

RACE NINE

It has been a while since TUMULT (8) claimed the last of her four wins on this deck, but she might just have found the right conditions to make it a fifth. Runner-up in consecutive starts of 20m and then 40m, she was a beaten fav last start but can gain some redemption here.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (4) was building towards the elusive maiden breaking victory after placing in four of his previous five starts before his latest outing on The Triangle. Franking those runs with a 5m victory, he can look to use the confidence to challenge.

NATTY PAGGER (9) found the ideal conditions at Marburg two starts back when finishing best to score. A wide gate from the mobile stung last time at Redcliffe, and he can bounce back here.

PANDA FOOEY (1) has had three runs back from a spell, the latest at Redcliffe when trying to chase out of the trail from the 10m. Back to the front is a big plus for this.

SELECTIONS: TUMULT (8), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (4), NATTY PAGGER (9), PANDA FOOEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TUMULT (8) to win

RACE TEN

IGNITE (4)
held the trail on The Triangle last start when holding on for 2nd behind BANFF. Trying to warm into the contest here two starts back when midfield behind ALDEBARAN FONZ, he has a 30m swing on the handicaps against that runner for this contest.

ALDEBARAN FONZ (9) finally shook free of maiden status here four runs back when finishing best to grab the win. Placed at his next start when beaten a neck, he has won both subsequent starts. 30m makes this a tough ask in chasing the threepeat.

DORA LEE (2) was locked away four back here three starts back and made some late metres to grab the silver. Darting through on the passing lane last start when 3rd, she has podium claims.

BENJI HALL (7) was snookered away on the poles last start and ran home soundly behind BANFF. From the 20m tape, he can chase some minor money.

SELECTIONS: IGNITE (4), BENJ HALL (7), ALDEBARAN FONZ (9), DORA LEE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: IGNITE (4) to win
