OVERVIEW: BIG SLEDGE HAMMER (9) was a big winner last start after an encouraging run first up and should be hard to hold out again despite a second row draw. VINCE LOMBARDI (1) honest performer that will appreciate an improved draw and from the pole position should be in this for a long way. GOOD TOBE LOCKSLEY (10) quirky pacer with ability but can do things wrong. Providing he produces his best manners he’s capable of being in the finish. HONEST HARIETTE (3) racing well and should settle handy and be in striking range. Amongst the chances are EPIC ORION (6) DANGER PLAY (5) and NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (4).

OVERVIEW: JANSU (7) has been in excellent form and racing with great zest. Despite facing a wide draw can press forward and will make her presence felt again. Hard to hold out. VAN DOREN (5) has been teasing for a long while to break through for another win. Looks suited here to run well and be in the finish. HURRICANE JANE (4) local mare that doesn’t know how to run a poor race and will be running on at the finish. CHRISTMAS BABE (2) speedy mare with the ideal draw and does have the speed to lead and will take some catching. ABBIE (3) capable trotter when at her best and is amongst the chances along with MAGIC LAW (6) has claims.

OVERVIEW: POPS JOY (5) is a 2yo filly that has been runner up at her past two starts and looks well placed again to be fighting out the finish. Expect a strong showing. OZZIE JOYBELL (11) did things wrong last start but does have her share of ability and can make amends here with a better showing. MAJOR BERT (9) has been racing against stronger opposition and with a nice trailing draw is one of the main chances. ROYLE BLOOD (7) has been racing with great zest and despite meeting stronger opposition must be respected again. CHARLIE CHOPS (10) ALAMO (4) STREETS OF MADRID (1) ELYSIAN PALACE (8) JAPANESE MIKI (2) TALKNPLAY (6) all have ability and can’t be dismissed as place or first four chances with suitable trips in transit.

JILLIBY TOPGUN (5) has been kept safe in the market in recent starts but has struggled to produce his best manners. Keep safe. MELBREH (9) lightly raced trotter that is still learning his craft and has further scope for improvement. Don’t dismiss. Both OPRAH DOUBLE YOU (11) and TAKEN BY WINE (3) are amongst the place and first four hopes.

THE MAJORS GIRL (7) capable mare that will strip fitter for this and looks well placed. Needs to overcome a wide draw but might prove hard to hold out. FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (4) is racing well and is never far away in this class. Must be respected again. ROYAL CADENCE (2) fitter and draws well and has claims.

NORTHERN TERROR (10) has been finishing around the placings and will be doing his best work late and must be included amongst the chances. ROYAL EDARD (4) has been placed at his past two starts and from a front line draw has claims again along with SHEZABLUECHIP (7) that races well in this class but needs to overcome a wide draw. THE DUX (3) and FOUR STARZZ RUBY (5) will both strip fitter and can take up a forward position. Expect good showings in an open race.

EYE SEE PHILTRA (4) capable pacer that worked hard last start, but his prior form was solid for a race of this class. One of the main chances. ART ON FIRE (2) nice effort when runner up last start and draws favourably here to get every chance. GOOD DAY (6) has been racing against stronger company and likes to race forward. Has claims. ZUBERI (7) faces a wide draw but strips fitter and expect improvement whilst HIGH FLUX (5) is never far away. CHEVRON FLIES (3) resumes and might run well fresh and ANIMADO (1) has the draw to be on the speed and are amongst the place and first four chances.
