Race 1:
OVERVIEW: SHOOBEES SPIRIT (6) has been chasing home stronger opposition and looks very well placed here in this small field and does possess a high turn of speed. Hard to beat. JEDI MIND (2) drawn well and can settle in a handy position and should be in this for a long way. SASSCILIAN (4) showed good early speed to lead all the way last start and might try to do the same here. FEEL THE BUZZ (5) strips fitter from his first up run and this small field suits to unleash his big finish sprint. Not out of it. GROOM (3) seasoned pacer that has raced well in the past here and has claims. LETSGO MATILDA (7) is first up from a spell and draws wide but has shown ability. Place and first four claims along with EAGLES AND INDIANS (1) that has changed stables and could be an improver.

Race 2:
OVERVIEW: LADY IN LINE (6) hasn’t won for a long time but has raced against stronger opposition and strikes a suitable race here. Worthy of another chance. PAIGETHEHURRIKANE (2) showed gate speed to lead throughout to win last start and draws well again here to try to do the same. Sprint trip and track suits and will take some catching if she leads. SIR FLOYD (1) does have early speed and draws ideally. Racing well and should get every chance from the pole position draw. LOTAKEVI (4) seasoned pacer that always makes his presence felt. Has claims along with THE ROAN RANGER (5) that resumes and can press forward. Might run well fresh. Both DEFT TOUCH (3) and KARDESLER (7) are amongst the place and first four hopes.

Race 3:
OVERVIEW: READY TO ROCK (3) has been racing against stronger opposition and will find this more to his liking. Can be a big improver here. HEZA DOOZIE (7) lovely type that won well at his race debut despite being very green. Shows plenty of ability and providing he handles the smaller track, he’s a major chance. BETTORPATCHMEUP (4) will strip further fitter from his two runs back from a spell and showed improvement last start. Can keep progressing and must be respected. SOMEJOYFUL (2) strips fitter and drawn nicely and can improve along whilst LETSGO BIG GIRL (6) TRINITYS DELIGHT (1) and WOODLEA DIEGO (5) are in the mix of place and first four chances.

OVERVIEW: ESS KAY HOLLYWOOD (7) chased determinedly last start, but the winner was too good. Going well and can figure in the finish but needs to overcome a wide draw. MACHO MAORI (2) draws well to be prominent and can make his presence felt. BLANCO CANYON (4) is never far away and must be respected. AETHON (1) and MAORI FRANKLIN (3) have been down in form but from favourable draws will get every chance. KAOTIC FLAIR (5) battled on well last start and can make her presence felt. MAJESTIC CONNIES (6) was well beaten last start but does have early speed. Has claims whilst WHOSE ME MUM (8) and MAORI DUCHESS (9) are first four hopes.

Race 5:
OVERVIEW: DRESSED IN GOLD (7) was well supported last start and just missed out when runner up and finishing strongly late. Can go one better here. ISLAND CAESAR (1) stable mate draws well and does have early speed and should be in it for a long way. JAY BEE (2) has been in great form and despite the rise in class can give a big sight again. OH NO NEVER AGAIN (6) has been bursting to win another race and if he can produce his best manners, he’s amongst the winning chances. AUCKLAND RED (3) ROCKNROLL GRONK (4) and LUNA DREAM (5) all have ability and are never far away and can’t be dismissed with suitable trips in transit.

OVERVIEW: MACHANE SAID (9) heavily supported to win easily last start and looks one of the main chances again here. TRIPLE VINNIES (7) drops in class and looks very well suited, but the wide draw and small track might prove challenging. Definite chance. STRONG RESPONSE (8) smart horse when right and is first up since April. If the openings come his way, he’s a definite hope. LEAVE YOUR HAT ON (2) has raced against stronger opposition. Drawn well and will get every chance. JUDES DUDE (5) has been in great form for trainer Rob Connelly and no reason why he can’t run well again here. YAPPAS COURAGE (3) is better than his figure form reads and can show improvement. SKY CITY (6) has been in the market at his past two starts and can run well. OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT (1) drawn ideally and wasn’t beaten far last start. MAJOR BERT (4) placed at his past three starts and has claims again.
