Race 1:
OVERVIEW: I AM WILMA (3) is a promising filly that will be targeting the Redwood in one week’s time and will use this race as a final tune up for the big race. Expect a big showing. CARLA PIXIE (7) shows good talent and does have the race experience and has competed against some good opposition. One of the chances. BOOT LEGGING (1) has every chance last start after leading from the mobile but continues to improve and can give a sight. KYVALLEY JAGGER (5) SHES SKY HIGH (4) and THE DARK THUNDER (6) all have ability and like all runners are having their first attempt from the stand. Must be respected. TENASEA WHISKEY (2) is a first starter under the care of astute trainer Brent Thompson and his trial form suggests that he can run very well at his race debut. Definite chance.

OVERVIEW: EXCELZIOR (7) shows promise and is an improving type. Drew poorly last start and was too far back to make ground. Draws wide here but the smaller field suits and can run well. One of the main chances. LADY SALINA (3) her past two starts indicates she’s ready to win after some good showings in recent starts. Can figure in the finish again. MY KGARI (2) unplaced last start but her prior form suggests she’s in the mix of chances. BETATHANABOUGHTONE (1) runner up at her race debut and then disappointed last start. Back in distance and a nice draw, she will get every chance. LOULOU BOY (4) first starter and his trial form has been encouraging. Can measure up here. Must include. MIKI SHEFFIELD (6) improving type place and first four hope.

OVERVIEW: SKY LINDY (4) has been bursting to win having been runner up on six occasions from fourteen starts. Looks well placed here to break her maiden status. ALDEBARAN SUSANNE (5) showed brilliant early speed last start to lead and was just run down. A repeat performance will make her hard to run down. MAJESTIC PARTY BOY (9) good effort two starts ago and shows ability but his manners have let him down. Not out of this. HENRYS HORSE (6) resumes here but has shown ability. Might run well fresh. GREAT HORIZON (3) HEART OF GRACELAND (7) GIN TONIQUE (8) LADY OF TIAVON (2) DRESSEDUPINTHECITY (1) have place and first four claims.

Race 4:
OVERVIEW: KEAYANG ZAHARA (3) star filly, unbeaten from 9 starts to date and takes on a new challenge against the boys. No reason why she can do it again! MISTER BLINDSIDE (2) a winner of only one race from 15 starts and has caused connections and punters plenty of frustration. Loads of raw talent but his manners overall have been poor. Trialled brilliantly at Melton last Tuesday but that’s not the first time! Take on trust! VIOLET STANFORD (6) another very talented filly that had her colours lowered for the first time two starts ago and then worked hard and struggled at her next run. Takes on the boys here and this will be another major test to recover from those defeats. VALTINO (1) experienced and seasoned colt that has raced in this company before and doesn’t know how to run a poor race. HOPPY (8) smart 3yo resuming and drawn to get an excellent trip and will enjoy a soft run to unleash his big finishing sprint. Can run well. SAYDIE (9) improving type that won well last start, but this is much stronger. ALL THAT REMAINS (7) has ability, but the wide draw makes it hard. First four chance.

OVERVIEW: DEREK THE JET (2) star gelding that is unbeaten from his nine starts to date. Searching for the perfect 10 and then setting up what could be a promoter’s dream for the Victoria Derby final. The horse to beat! REMUS PHOENIX (8) talented trotter that gets a nice draw to enjoy a soft trip and will be doing his best work late. LOCKSLEY CAVALIER (1) lightly raced youngster showing good promise. Drawn well and can run well. KYVALLEY MICHAEL (6) has chased valiantly at his past two starts when runner up and must be respected. JILLIBY BALLERINI (7) going well but faces a wide draw and will be doing her best work late. JACK SPRAT (5) WITH APLOMB (9) and APRIL SUN (3) are dour stayers and will be suited by the longer trip. No surprise to see them figuring in the placings or first fours along with PINNIE (4).

OVERVIEW: CADENCE LANE (7) hasn’t won for a long time, but she’s been close in recent times to suggest a win isn’t far away. Strikes a suitable race and is amongst the chances. KEAYANG GYPSY (8) has chased home stronger company and can figure in the finish. APEX (9) ruined his chances last start by breaking in the score up but made-up loads of ground. Definite chance. FROSTY GIRL (10) broke up at her first Victorian start in standing start conditions but was kept safe in the market. Back to the mobile here and might improve. THAT OTHER THING (4) MUMSTHEWORD (2) PERFECT PEAK (5) ROMANTIC NINA (6) all have ability and must be respected in a race with many winning chances.

OVERVIEW: CALL ME JACK (7) has finally hit his straps at the races having showed good ability at the trials but underperforming at the races. Last few starts have been excellent and he’s the one to beat, if he produces his best. PRETTYBOY HARRY (6) talented trotter with loads of ability but does have his share of misdemeanours. Resumes here and can run well fresh. YOGI SON (9) returns to the Brent Lilley stable and has proven to be a head scratcher. Good one day and bad the next! Take on trust! DAISY BOUCHEA (1) capable mare that has been in great form. Forgive last start when unplaced from the standing start conditions. Mobile suits and can run well. POPPY POPSTAR (2) and DELS DESTINY (4) are amongst the place and first four chances.

INSIDER TRADING (11) talented youngster that is racing very well and was brave in defeat last start. Expect a strong showing. HESTON CASH (2) disappointed first up but much improved run last start and from the draw can fight out the finish. FOREGONE CONCLUSION (3) speedy type that can be in this for a long way. ROCKNROLL OPAL (8) strips fitter and will get a soft trip and must be included. TORQUE POWER (9) going well and not far away last start and is amongst the chances. HANOVER JACK (4) COUNTRY ROCKSTAR (5) REDBANK MOLLY (6) all have ability and come under consideration.
