Form Analysis by Craig Rail
Race 1:
OVERVIEW: BULLAPARK BENO (4) moved up on the outside of the leader and battled on well for a close third in the Yarra Valley Cup. He is starting to work back into form and is drawn to give a bold showing. NOBLE COUNT (5) is stepping up in class but he has returned from a break in good form with a close second behind Keayang Sadie at Ballarat followed by a victory in a handy mile rate of 1.58.9 at Melton. He is capable of taking the next step forward. MIELICKI (10) has performed very nicely at his past two attempts and he was defeated by the in-form trotter Boutika at his latest second so he is worth an investment. LEANNE LEEANN (9) will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and has claims in a race of many winning chances.
EARLY SPEED: 4 (possible leader), 2,6
SELECTIONS: BULLAPARK BENO (4), NOBLE COUNT (5), MIELICKI (10), LEANNE LEEANN (9)
RATINGS: 4/ 5,10/ 9/ 11/ 1,12/ Field
SUGGESTED BET: BULLAPRK BENO (4) each way
Race 2:
OVERVIEW: OUR BELLA LUCIA (3) is a fast beginner and was beaten by a narrow margin when third behind Asmileandawinx at Bendigo on October 23. She appears to be well placed under these conditions and should give a forward showing. ROCKNROLL GRONK (5) is also a fast beginner and will appreciate a drop back in class on his latest fifth in the Yarra Valley Cup. He places more often than he wins but he should be competitive against this line up. BAKERS BANDIT (8) is awkwardly drawn but he was unlucky at his latest attempt as he had to weave a passage through the pack. He was a winner at Terang in September and must be included amongst the leading chances. SHOOBEES SPIRIT (6) is stepping up in class but has been racing very well and SENNA STORM (9) has the ability to make his presence felt.
EARLY SPEED: 3 (possible leader), 2,5
SELECTIONS: OUR BELLA LUCIA (3), ROCKNROLL GRONK (5), BAKERS BANDIT (8), SENNA STORM (9)
RATINGS: 3/ 5,8/ 6,9/ 1,7
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BELLA LUCIA (3) to win
Race 3:
OVERVIEW: ROARFORROSCOE (7) settled three back on the markers after commencing from the inside of the second line and had no room in the straight when an unlucky sixth in a much stronger race at Melton on Saturday. He competed against the open class pacers when a creditable fifth behind Cantfindabettorman prior so he appears to be beautifully graded in this event. JUSTALITTLESIP (6) will appreciate his easiest assignment for a long time and gets his chance to improve on his numerical form. FINAL COLLECT (5) is resuming since August but he performed extremely well at a recent Melton trial second behind Just As Well so he is worth an investment. IM SHADOW BOXER (2) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off nicely when second behind Tallaras Shadow at Melton on Saturday. He has been runner up in three of his past four starts and is worth a ticket each way.
EARLY SPEED: 1 (possible early leader), 2,5,6,7
SELECTIONS: ROARFORROSCOE (7), JUSTALITTLESIP (6), FINAL COLLECT (5), IM SHADOW BOXER (2)
RATINGS: 7/ 5,6/ 2/ 3,4/ 8/ 1/ 9
SUGGESTED BET: ROARFORROSCOE (7) each way
Race 4:
OVERVIEW: MISTER JIMARINGLE (6) will appreciate a significant drop back in class for this assignment and should go well. He had little luck in finding a position early and ended up settling at the tail of the field when sixth in the Yarra Valley Cup last week. SHAZZA LOVE (9) worked forward to find the lead and set up a cracking tempo when a game second in a mile rate of 1.54.8 at Ballarat at her latest appearance. She drops back to the second line now but she must be respected. AMERICAN VICTORY (7) is a lightly raced filly that has shown promise at her first campaign of racing. She circled around the field to park on the outside of the leader mid-race when third at Ballarat last outing. CHANSU (5) performs best when he is able to lead and OUR TRUE COLOURS (4) should be competitive against this line up.
EARLY SPEED: 5 (likely leader), 2,4
SELECTIONS: MISTER JIMARINGLE (6), SHAZZA LOVE (9), AMERICAN VICTORY (7), OUR TRUE COLOURS (4)
RATINGS: 6/ 7,9/ 4,5/ 3,8
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER JIMARINGLE (6) each way
Race 5:
OVERVIEW: ALDEBARAN BOYD (6) commenced from the inside of the second row, settled three back on the markers and finished off fast when second behind Aldebaran Acrux at Melton last outing. He led throughout at a Geelong victory on October 04 and should give another forward showing here. HEPHAESTUS PHOENIX (8) is the class runner of the field but is awkwardly positioned on the inside of the second line. He led out then took cover and finished second behind Illawong Larajay at his latest attempt. KYVALLEYHONEYBUNNY (5) went hard for the first 200m before taking cover behind Mufasa Metro when seventh at Melton last week. She is dropping back from the open class so she is likely to find this assignment to be more suitable. DICHOTOMY (4) hasn’t had much luck recently and is better than her form reads so she warrants consideration.
EARLY SPEED: 6 (possible leader), 1,2,5
SELECTIONS: ALDEBARAN BOYD (6), HEPHAESTUS PHOENIX (8), KYVALLEYHONEYBUNNY (5), DICHOTOMY (4)
RATINGS: 6,8/ 5/ 4/ 1,2,7
SUGGESTED BET: ALDEBARAN BOYD (6) each way
Race 6:
OVERVIEW: MONT SALLY (9) is trotting in career best form having won four of her past six starts and should prove hard to beat. She worked home well from midfield when a distant second behind Dhoni Trouble last outing. KYVALLEY PAINT (6) progressed forward from a wide draw to work up without cover when third at St Arnaud last week. He defeated Jessica’s Story (won since) at an Ararat victory on October 13 and looms as one of the leading chances again. CHINSKI (5) should be getting fitter after having two starts back from a break and his latest sixth was in the Yarra Valley Cup so he is likely to find this assignment to be easier. KYVALLEY SURFRIDER (3) is a fast beginner and a short course specialist so he has the conditions to suit his racing pattern here.
EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 2,5,6
SELECTIONS: MONT SALLY (9), KYVALLEY PAINT (6), CHINSKI (5), KYVALLEY SURFRIDER (3)
RATINGS: 9/ 5,6/ 3/ 8
SUGGESTED BET: MONT SALLY (9) to win
Race 7:
OVERVIEW: SINBAD SASSY (8) is awkwardly drawn but did well at his debut, where he took on older horses and proven winners and finished a close third after working forward to find the lead. He will take beating if he gains normal luck in running. HURRICANE HOOLY (2) possesses early speed and is drawn to receive every chance. She has been racing against slightly stronger opposition at her most recent appearances. ATTAGIRL (4) dropped out in a semi-final of the Super Series last outing but she will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and is capable of showing improvement. GUARANTEED TROUBLE (3) finished seventh at Yarra Valley at his debut but he has performed well at the trials since so he is capable of a better performance. COOKIE DOUGH (6) and THE POSTMASTER (7) are also capable of improving on their debut performances.
EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely early leader), 1,6
SELECTIONS: SINBAD SASSY (8), HURRICANE HOOLY (2), ATTAGIRL (4), GUARANTEED TROUBLE (3)
RATINGS: 8/ 2/ 3,4/ 6,7
SUGGESTED BET: SINBAD SASSY (8) to win
Race 8:
OVERVIEW: SURFINGMAKESCENTS (1) is resuming since a fifth behind Sweet Bella in the Super Series Final and is perfectly drawn first up. She worked to the front and recorded a slashing mile rate of 1.52.6 when she won the Mares Sprint Championship in June so she will take catching if she is somewhere near her peak form. VEE EM GEE MACRAY (7) went to the line jogging with no clear run and should have finished much closer than seventh when racing at Metropolitan level last week. She is a classy mare and looms as one of the leading chances despite the poor draw. CLASSIC ANGELINA (3) competed in the Angelique, the 4&5yo Championship and in the Make Mine Cullen at her past three starts so she will appreciate a big drop back in class for this assignment and should go well. MONA MIA (4) finished off well to defeat Tallaras Shadow (won since) at Geelong last outing and should run her usual honest race.
EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 2,3,6
SELECTIONS: SURFINGMAKESCENTS (1), VEE EM GEE MACRAY (7), CLASSIC ANGELINA (3), MONA MIA (4)
RATINGS: 1/ 3,7/ 4/ 6/ 2,5
SUGGESTED BET: SURFINGMAKESCENTS (1) to win
