OVERVIEW: CARRAMAR OLAM (6) was unplaced in the Victoria Derby last start and will find this a much easier assignment. Looks well placed and should prove hard to beat. MAJOR ANNIE (11) is racing better than her figure form suggests and might get a nice trial into this and will be running home late and is a value chance. NOSWEETSFORYOU (9) tough mare that rarely runs a poor race and will make her presence felt. Must be respected. HEAVENLY BRIGADE (7) drawn wide but is racing well and will be running home late whilst TUPELO BEACH (8) MIDNIGHT DANCER (3) and GUARANTEED SECRET (5) are pacers that have ability and must be considered amongst the chances.

OVERVIEW: CALYPSO MISTRESS (6) is a speedy pacer that can mix her form but looks well placed here to take up a forward position and expect a strong showing. KIMCHI (11) races well in this class and despite the tough draw will be running home strongly along with SELF EXCLUSION (9) that has a nice trailing draw and is one of the main chances. Both GLENS OF TEKOA (5) and SNAZOLA (4) are never far away in this grade and have claims here.

OVERVIEW: EVERYBODYLUVSKENNY (4) does possess ability and can race in a handy position. Suited here and can fight out the finish. DUTCH TEACHER (5) is getting fitter after two runs back from a spell and can show improvement here. WHATS THE TEA (7) is never far away in this class and despite the wide draw must be respected. TUBS NOW SLIM (10) unplaced at his past two starts but his prior form was solid. Should be doing his best work late. FLYING FLYNN (3) resumes and has early speed and can run well fresh.

OVERVIEW: NORTHOLT (7) is getting fitter with each run and should be primed third up for this. Working up to a win and despite the wide draw expect a big showing. FLOATING MOUNTAIN (4) is a very consistent trotter that continues to race well and should be well poised throughout and expect a big showing. LAIR OF THE EAGLE (3) has worked back into for and close to a win. Must be respected again. RHYMES (10) has got back into wining form and if he can produce his best manners, he’s always a chance. Both MUADARCHY (8) and KYVALLEY MUGSY (5) are always in the mix of chances.

Race 5:
OVERVIEW: KEAYANG SADIE (5) started a short price favourite when first up and ruined all chances. Does have good ability and if she trots throughout, she will be very hard to beat. BLITZER I HOPE (8) is getting race experience with some continued runs and does have scope for further improvement and has claims. PROSPEROUS (10) did things wrong last start and found trouble at her prior run. Capable of better. Don’t dismiss. BACARDI LOVER (6) should appreciate the front line draw and can be a big improver along with TAKEN BY WINE (1) and MISS AVENGER (4) all have strong place and first four claims.

OVERVIEW: AMERICAN VICTORY (7) is lightly raced and shows good ability. Forgive last start when finding trouble and should be fighting out the finish. ZU HOFFEN (8) interesting runner arriving from interstate and might run well fresh here despite the tricky draw. Watch with interest. HAIR RAZOR (10) seasoned performer that races well in this class and expect a good showing. Both WINGATE GUY (4) and MARTHA LAVINIA (5) have favourable front line draws and should be well poised throughout and must be considered amongst the chances along with CHALKNCHEDDAR (9) that gets a nice trialling draw and racing well in the Sunraysia district.

OVERVIEW: NO REMORSE (8) has been a model of consistency and thoroughly deserves to breakthrough for his maiden win. Strikes another suitable race and just needs to find an opening to be hard to hold out. ALDEBARANSPARTACUS (7) did plenty wrong last start, but his prior form was solid enough for a race of this class and is amongst the chances. TARA TUFF (1) drawn well and is never far away and can be in this for a long way. Has claims. NEY DEAN (2) will strip fitter and from the nice draw big improvement would not surprise. Both COL DU GRANON (3) and LENNON GRAE (4) have ability and are amongst the place chances.

OVERVIEW: MITCHELL WRAP (8) smart trotter that continues to progress nicely through the grades. Faces a big handicap here against some in form trotters but expect another strong showing. ARISTOTLE (2) is airborne and racing very well and no reason why he can’t deliver another big showing. CONSTANT (1) talented mare that ran well last start and will appreciate the front line draw. Can threaten. PARIS KAY (5) seasoned trotter that didn’t have the best of luck last start and can measure up here. Not out if this. MADAME KELLY (4) lightly raced mare that wasn’t disgraced at her first Victorian start at her latest run. Does possess an impressive standing start record and might be right in this at the finish. MIELICKI (3) experienced runner that has a good record under these conditions and at this track. Can never be dismissed.

The 3yo’s TUNBRIDGE (2) and KEAYANG GYPSY (3) have raced against stronger opposition and might find this more to their liking and could be big improvers here. Don’t dismiss. The other front line drawn runners MY HIGH PEAK (4) DESERT ASSASSIN (5) PERFIDIOUS SUE (6) and HERE COMES KYVALLEY (7) all have good ability and must be respected in a very open race where most runners have winning claims.

WRITTENINTEHSKY (8) good effort last start to record her second lifetime win and is racing well. Can threaten again. ORCH (1) drawn nicely to get a soft trip and best to forgive last run. Can be an improver for this. Both LUVA SCRAP (7) and YARUGA LASS (6) are never far away and despite their wide draws are amongst the chances.
