Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

Beaten by tempo and position here on Tuesday, ARODA (12) will be looking to back up here and defy the outside gate. Finishing 4th in the small field of five, it followed a 3m deficit when resuming from the tapes behind GLOVER. He will be chasing the right cart into the contest.

SAINT VERAN (1) comes up with the ideal gate to tuck in behind the action and await his shot when the gaps present. Angled to the inside last start when chasing home and only 6m from DANGERZONE, he set the tempo two back when collared in the last strides.

DON ARTHUR (3) is in top touch and last week overcame the outside front line when powering home to claim victory right on the wire. He has the gate to be right in the fight.

GLOVER (10) tackled stand start conditions last time out and from the front was able to see them off for a smart first up victory in good time. He can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: ARODA (12), SAINT VERAN (1), DON ARTHUR (3), GLOVER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ARODA (12) to win

RACE TWO

Hitting good areas in recent starts that has seen him three of his past five, MASTER CHARLES (1) lands the ideal marble to capitalise here. Only 3m from DON ARTHUR last week at the middle trip, a return to the mile is a big plus and he gets his chance.

ROCKNPENNY (3) will take good benefit from his latest outing when resuming from a spell and finishing just 6m away after a checkered run in transit. Settling handy from this gate, he can be in position to issue a challenge and break a wining drought.

CHICAGO BART (2) was runner-up two starts back when releasing the front and then here last week, dictated to an all the way win against his own age. This is the next step.

GOODOLDBOYSANBEER (8) should secure the economical trip from this gate and will be probing for the gaps to make a play.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CHARLES (1), ROCKNPENNY (3), CHICAGO BART (2), GOODOLDBOYSANBEER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE THREE

Starting to work her way back into form, the gate looks right for SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3) to chase a return to the winner’s circle. Chasing home in open mares’ company in four of her past five starts, she was runner-up behind MASTER CHARLES two back. This looks well within reach.

ZENXENA (2) was second up for the new barn last start when eased from a wide gate to find position. Making a late raid and hitting the line with gusto when just 1m from the winner JESEEKA, she finds the right race second up to get handy and throw down the challenge.

SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (10) has hit the board at her past five in succession, the latest when taking a mares qualifier after overcoming this same gate with one shot at them. Look for her late.

PLAYA BLANCA (6) held on for the bronze last week after pressing forward to take control and then finishing 2m from the winner. She can get forward to stake her claim.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3), ZENXENA (2), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (10), PLAYA BLANCA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3) to win

RACE FOUR

Finding some top form in recent weeks, BRAEDOS LAD (4) asserted his dominance from gate 7 here last week, strolling forward to take control after the mile and then fighting them off to claim a 5m margin. Placed in successive runs following a sub-50 mile, he can add another one.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1) descended on them from outside the second line to arrive here two starts back and then last start was best of the chasing pack behind LEAP TO FAME. He has the early hustle to hold early and will be looking to take his shot in the stretch.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (5) has been a model of consistency, hitting the board at four of his past five starts, the latest when doing all the work and finishing 2m from the winner. He may need to roll the sleeves again here.

O B LEGAL (2) made some late metres to grab the bronze last start when 8m from the winner BRAEDOS LAD. Darting straight down to the poles looks a good play for the shortest way home.

SELECTIONS: BRAEDOS LAD (4), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1), ALWAYS SMOKIN (5), O B LEGAL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BRAEDOS LAD (4) to win

RACE FIVE

An even bunch of mares to do battle in this qualifier where despite the wide gate, DELILAH ROSE (6) might just be able to get the better of them. 7m away after faced with gate 7 behind PUMPKIN PAT last week, she was luckless the start prior. This is withing reach.

YUKON BE SERIOUS (1) held the trail last start when grabbing the bronze behind MOMENTUM SWING. Chasing home behind TEDDY TUPRIN in both prior starts, a return to her own sex from this gate can see her issue the challenge.

ROBYN X (10) face the extreme gate at her first run back from a spell. Running into some handy performers during her last campaign, she may just need the run.

MADAME WEST (2) backs up from Tuesday where she finished midfield behind ELEGANT GROOVES. Buried and making late ground for 3rd two starts back, she has claims here.

SELECTIONS: DELILAH ROSE (6), YUKON BE SERIOUS (1), ROBYN X (10), MADAME WEST (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DELILAH ROSE (6) win/place

RACE SIX

Freshened since his last appearance at Menangle in late August, IS THAT A BID (9) was given a hit out at the trials in readiness for the return. Game in defeat two starts back, he was then runner-up last time when collared in the last stride. He can bounce back to winning form.

VICTREE HILL (6) was safely away from the 20m tape last week and then allowed to slide over the latter stages, moved up strongly and pulled clear to a 5m margin. 3rd from this same gate two starts back when easing early and searching for some luck, he can issue the challenge again.

ADELLE (7) is never far from the action but has struggled to convert her efforts into victory this season. Holding on for the bronze last start behind VICTREE HILL, she is in the fight once again.

TOP OF THE MOMENT (5) darted through along the passing lane at then end of the mobile mile last time to claim a 2m margin. A luckless 3rd two starts back, he is in the mix again here.

SELECTIONS: IS THAT A BID (9), VICTREE HILL (6), ADELLE (7), TOP OF THE MOMENT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IS THAT A BID (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

A small field off just the front line to do battle in this B5 event where the inside gate is a huge asset for CONGO LINE (1) to chase victory. Grabbing the bronze from three fence here two starts back, he is super effective on the passing lane and gets his chance to arrive.

LACEYS LAD (2) was a Newcastle winner three starts back and then was beaten by gate 7 at his next attempt when easing for the fence and the shortest way home. Backing up from Tuesday where he scored in veterans’ company, he gets the gate to chase the repeat.

PARAMA (7) faces the widest gate but has the speed to find early position. Midfield behind LACEYS LAD here midweek, the smaller field size will aid his chances.

LOCHINVAR JAG (4) released the speed here last start and was soon shuffled to three back and was not that far off them up the passing lane. He can feature in this.

SELECTIONS: CONGO LINE (1), LACEYS LAD (2), PARAMA (7), LOCHINVAR JAG (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CONGO LINE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Resuming from a spell here last week, SHARDS MATRIX (3) was left exposed in the run as CHICAGO BART dictated in front to take them all the way. Game in defeat in finishing under 2m from the winner, the added fitness can see him secure his first AP victory.

TEDDY TURPIN (7) is in a purple patch, with his only defeat from his past five starts a narrow 2nd behind the smart AIR EXPRESS. Completing the hat-trick last start when darting home along the passing lane in a 70Heat, the wide gate stings, but against his own age is a plus.

ALLORNOTHINGLEVI (5) overcame the outside second line last start when taking a 6m margin over the 2138. Striking trouble the start prior, he can get forward to feature here.

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (2) faced a tough gate from the second line over the middle trip last time out. Sent forward early in holding on for the silver, back to his own age aids his chances.

SELECTIONS: SHARDS MATRIX (3), TEDDY TURPIN (7), ALLORNOTHINGLEVI (5), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDS MATRIX (3) to win

RACE NINE

In white hot form with seven wins in her past eight starts, CHYNCHILLA (7) looks to have little worry in making it four on the bounce. Allowed to balance up last week before being put into attack mode and then running them off their feet, it should be just rinse and repeat.

DIAMOND SHOOZ (5) was faced with the inside second line last start and then meant she was always chasing, a pattern that was impossible for everything in the pack as CHYNCHILLA carved it out in front. Back to the front line can see her dart across early.

MYRA DAWN (1) should secure the economical trip against the markers and will be looking for the short cuts to make a podium play.

JESEEKA (4) produced a starchy performance here last week when sitting parked and grinding out the victory. This is a step up, but she is more than capable.

SELECTIONS: CHYNCHILLA (7), DIAMOND SHOOZ (5), MYRA DAWN (1), JESEEKA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 7 / 1-4-5 / 1-4-5
