We head to Hobart for a Sunday afternoon of racing which im sure the participants will embrace so let’s look to find a few winners.

Stone Writer can get us off to a good start in the first.

The two good things come from the Matthew Howlett stable in Mickey Oh and Triertotellya in races four and eight respectively.

We Salute You will be value in race two and will go close.

Magic Pebbles looks to get her chance in race three.

RACE 1: 13:04pm Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Pace 1609m

The first of the afternoon is for the 2yos and looks a competitive race. STONE WRITER (7) resumes off a freshen up and his best will be too good for his rivals but can be risky early. GRIMSHAW BAY (5) is racing well and if is able to work across to the pegs early can give some cheek. MANINKY MOONSHINE (6) was impressive at Mildura last time and so with that win can go on with at first local outing. POST LAZARUS (3) was unlucky on debut and should be better for the run so keep safe. BOLT OF COBARGO (1) has the draw to run onto a placing along with the improving POST KEG (4).

Here we have a 70-79 and it’s a race STEPPING STONES (2) can bounce back into the winners list as will be close to the speed throughout so will take holding out. LYNRYD SKYNRYD (4) resumes and will be looking to work across and if finds the top his chances are enhanced. WE SALUTE YOU (6) will be looking to dive bomb them late like he did three starts back and can win. ALWAYSBEALADY (1) is a consistent and draws the pole so gets his chance.

WATCH IT HAPPEN (8) was a handy winner last time when driven a treat and should get a similar trip here. MIKISPUR (4) has been runner up at his past two and should settle close enough to figure again. DONNY IN PARIS (1), CAPTAIN DAN (2) and NO NUKES SKIPPER (7) are a trio that have to be included for all bet types.

COOL WATER PADDY (5) has been going ok and also suited by the small field but need all the breaks if he is to beat Mickey. THE SHALLOWS (4) is racing below his best but can still run into some minor money.

MOVESLIKEALADY (12) does have plenty of ability on her night but her manners have let her down a few times but resuming from a let up should be beneficial so will take holding out. MORE THAN THIS (6) has his foot on the till so will look to push forward and settle on speed and from there will run a race. SOHO UNDERTAKER (1) has been close up in maiden company so from the will get his chance to be around the mark. BUMPY J (4) will look to cross early and look to repeat his impressive win three starts back so keep safe. A SHADOW OF DOUBT (2), PEANUT SUTTER (8) and KEAYANG KELVIN (11) are all capable if the breaks come their way in running.

TOP PICK: Moveslikelady (12) if $4 or better is worth a play she brings her best.

REMEMBER ME NOW (9) will look to follow through and then get up on speed and could prove too good if brings his recent form. MAYLEEJAE EAGLE (5) drops back to a race than can see him improve so looks a small value play. OUR RUBY ROSE (3) resumes and her best is good enough to win so look for a positive market push as a better guide to his chances. SHAUN TO THE MAX (4), ELENNA (6) and OUR ULTIMATE JACKO (8) are a trio capable on their night so are a must for exotic players to include.

This is for the 55-59 pacers and it’s a tough one. CAMELOT JEDIMASTER (6) will strip fitter for his first up run and despite drawing wide he will take holding out with the right trip. SVITOLINA LEIS (9) has drawn to get a good run through and if has the last crack will go close. PUNTARNO STRIDE (2) looks the leader but has had his chance of late but can place. IMPULZE (7) draws wide but can do work in his races so if gets on speed will go close. DEBT TILL WE PART (3), KERALA STAR (4) and MONEYS NO ISSUE (10) are a trio that are capable if they bring their best so include for the wider exotic placings. ASHANTE QUEEN (1) gets the soft trip behind the speed so has sneaky place chance.

The last of the night is for the 60-69 pacers and we see the very smart TRIEDTOTELLYA (9) continue to build on his picket fence. He gets a good run through early and will then bully his way to the lead and from there will be too classy. VINCENZO (4) is a nice 3yo resuming and will be better for the run but with a bit of lucky early looks the best exacta chance. MAJOR LESTER (1) resumes and did trial well on Monday night so from the pole has options. MISTA EAGLE (8) got the perfect set up last week and I can’t see that happening here but can place. MAYOR OF ELWOOD (2) comes down from NSW but finds a tough assignment so a place is best.
