Glen Graven, pictured here, was able to score in tonight's Terang Cup.

The Terang Co-op Pacing Cup was taken out by the hometown hero in Glen Craven, Marg Lee and Keayang Cullen.

The five-year-old gelding has now strung five straight victories together, culminating in the $25,000 success for his Terang based trainer and driver team.

Marg Lee put the polish on Keayang Cullen and despite drawing the second line he was able to work to the front with over a lap to go.

He didn’t stop running either, recording his final three quarters in 29.9, 27.8 and 28.9 in a victory that was savoured by the locals.

Craven held off a late bid by Rodrigo and Gavin Lang who produced a run from four-back on the pegs to miss out by just on two metres.

Our Arlington for Geoff Webster wasn’t far away either beaten less than three metres into third.

The disappointment of the race was Inter Dominion hopeful Mustang Mach who started a $2.70 favourite but was beaten over 16 metres in to eighth.

He was always well out of the race from his second row draw and never came into the event in the straight.

The race was recorded in an overall mile rate of 2:00.1

The other highlight of the night was the Barastoc Terang Trotters Cup which Earl Harbour trotted all the way for Glen’s brother Matthew Craven to make it a big night for the family.

The bay gelding held a position behind the leader in running and was produced in the straight to score comfortably.

He continued his good form from the Simplot Australasian Trotting Championship series which saw him installed as $2.30 favourite for tonight’s win.

Second favourite Illawong Magic held off the roughie Enjoy A Coldie for the minor end of the prize.

The last half was trotted in 59.9 with the mile rate recorded in 2:05.5

Dean Braun may have missed out in the Cup race however his improving and highly touted pacer Magical Telf returned to the track with an impressive win in the Decron Horse Care Tontine Pacers series heat.

He was able to control the race from the front and raced home in a 27.8 last quarter in a 2:01.1 mile rate.
