Aiden De Campo heads to Bunbury tomorrow night for the Battle Of Bunbury with two live hopes in the $35,0000 feature for the three-year-olds.

With Ideal Muscle drawing barrier two and Menemsha on the second row in barrier eight, De Campo has taken the drive on board Ideal Muscle with hopes of leading from start to stop with the son of American Ideal USA.

“Hopefully Ideal Muscle can lead and on his best form, run quick times in front, so hopefully he can run something like that again and go pretty close, and if he cops pressure, well Menemsha’s a really good chance.”

Menemsha who hasn’t raced since August 16 when he fibrillated and finished 454m behind the field has since trialled at Pinjarra on September 11, winning convincingly by a 21.3m margin over the 2185m trip in 1:57:2.

“That was disappointing, but he seems to be back on track, his trial was good, and I think I have him close to back to his best, so hopefully he shows that tomorrow night.”

When asked who his better prospect was of the two, De Campo was reluctant to split the pair, with both geldings possessing plenty of ability.

“I would say Menemsha is a little bit better, a bit more well-rounded horse, but on the barrier draw, I can’t really split them from the draws,

“Ideal Muscle is probably going to lead, and Menemsha is going to need some luck.”
