The Launceston Pacing Club will host the nation’s most talented reinswomen next month when the Australian Female Drivers Championship takes place on Sunday night, 20 October, 2024.

Tasracing has announced the two drivers selected by each state to take part in the series.

TAS
Tarn Ford and Olivia Weidenbach,

VIC
Jackie Barker and Ewa Justice,

NSW
Grace Panella and Taylah Osmond,

SA
Samantha Pascoe and Bernadette Page,

QLD
Chloe Butler and Paige Bevan,

WA
Deni Roberts and Emily Suvaljko.

The 12 drivers will contest a minimum of six races, with fields to be determined by a block nomination system for horses with a national rating of 30-75, and there is an added incentive for trainers and owners to support the series with all heats being Ratings Exempt.

The series last year was won by Victoria’s Michelle Phillips, who defeated WA’s Emily Suvaljko and Tassie’s Tiarna Ford, with the six-race series being held at Albion Park in Brisbane.

The series was last conducted in Launceston in 2021 when Queensland’s Dannielle Veivers won.
