Shes All Gold (Lot 145)

One of Australia’s best known standardbred breeders and studmasters, Bob Fowler, of Allwood Stud, Bullsbrook (WA), has decided to reduce his breeding stock and has listed them at the upcoming Australian Pacing Gold online National Mixed Sale.

Fowler, who has bred almost 1700 winners including numerous Group 1 winners in his 40-year association with the sport, is putting up 28 royally bred broodmares for auction from August 2 to 4.

“I currently own between 80 and 90 mares. I am just trying to reduce my breeding stock to a manageable number,” Fowler, a great supporter of the APG sales-race concept, said.

“In some cases I have two or three fillies out of several of the mares that I am selling.”

Many of the contingent are in foal to the Allwood Stud resident stallions Fly Like An Eagle and Ultimate Sniper and the defunct Rock N Roll World.

Among the broodmares for sale are the former smart racemares Selkie NZ (WA Race For Roses & Lot 143), Cassie Rox (Northam Cup & Lot 78), the WA Sires Stakes champion Miss Baypoint (Lot 118) and the dual Group 1 placegetter Star For Me (Lot 153).

The offering also includes Arkamara (Lot 69), a daughter of the Australian Broodmare of the Year Ark Maree, and Shes All Gold (Lot 145), a daughter of the dual Listed winner She’s Royalty.

Of the 28 mares listed, 19 are winner-producers and they have left 48 winners between them including Quick Stride ($131,000), the Gloucester Park winner Atmospherical, Beejays Star ($83,000), Make It Quick, Stars Of Gold and the Group placegetter Our Star Billing

There’s a sister to Joe With Flow ($120,000) and half-sisters to the Vicbred champion and SA Pacing Cup winner Shadow Sax, the dual Vicbred winner Blatant Lie, the APG and Breeders Crown winner Keppel Bay, Mr Nickel (APG 2YO Final), the Australian 2YO Filly of the Year Amongst Royalty, Parsonmenby ($200,000), Valhalla Miss (WA 2YO Sales Classic 2YO) and Allamerican Queen (Westbred 3YO Classic).

Check out all the horses on offer from Allwood Stud Farm and register as a bidder today on the APG National Mixed Sale website.
