Tickets are now available for what promises to be one of the biggest events on the Tamworth Country Music Festival program when the Harness Racing New South Wales Carnival of Cups rolls into town.

Australian music icon Daryl Braithwaite will headline a stellar line-up of talent that will play trackside on the opening night of the Tamworth Country Music Festival on 17 January, 2025.

He will be supported at the FREE all-ages event by emerging country star Lane Pittman, chart-topping sibling trio The Buckleys and Golden Guitar female artist of the year nominee Tori Darke.

Popular Tamworth solo-performer Kyle Cartner will round out an epic line-up of entertainment.

“What an awesome line-up and a great mix of entertainers that is sure to provide something for everyone of all music tastes,” HRNSW Chief Executive Peter Buckman said.

“And what a way to launch a huge fortnight for the city of Tamworth in conjunction with our partners at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.”

“Once again we’re delighted to be providing this to the community for free. All you have to do is go online and register for a ticket but what I would say is don’t hesitate because demand will be high and they will be offered on a first-in first-served basis. I’d hate to think people miss out because they left it too late to register for a ticket.”

Excitement for Season 2 of the Carnival of Cups program in Tamworth has reached new levels since the line-up was announced on Wednesday last week.

Tamworth will be the third leg of the Carnival of Cups series, which commences in Parkes on 20 September before heading to Young on 8 November. Following Tamworth it moves to Albury on 14 February and concludes in Penrith on 14 March.

On the track, the Golden Guitar Paceway will be headlined by the return of the Tamworth City Cup and heats for the annual Golden Guitar Final.

The Carnival of Cups is again free for all ages but you will need to register for a ticket to attend. Free tickets are available on www.carnivalofcups.com.au.
