Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Trials

A number of changes have been made in regards to trials in NSW at least until the end of the current racing season (31 August 2020).

 

  • All clubs will be permitted to conduct trials.
  • No trials to be conducted before April 1 2020.
  • Only horses needing to Qualify, Re-Qualify or that haven’t had a race start in 3 months are permitted to trial.
  • Green trials can be conducted, horses will need to be Named and Unqualified. Each horse will only be permitted to contest 2 green trials. Nominations for green trials will need to be made via HarnessWeb.
  • Nominations for trials and green trials will close at 10.30am 2 days prior to the trials at which time trainers will need to notify drivers and any stablehands attending. Stablehands are to be added to the comments box when nominating.
  • The same Bio Security measures will be place for trails as Race Meetings including thecompletion of the Infectious Disease Declaration.
  • Essential staff, Trainers Drivers and Stablehands only permitted on Course.
  • Licensees will need to produce their current license to gain access to the race course.
  • If a club does not comply with any conditions including the HRNSW trial policy, their approval to conduct trials will be reviewed.
