Club Menangle is turning pink throughout the month of May for Pacing For Pink in support of the McGrath Foundation. This will be the fourth successive year Club Menangle has participated in the national campaign, which aims to raise funds and awareness for the McGrath Cancer Care Nurses.

In Australia, around 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. After 20 years of positive impact supporting people experiencing breast cancer, the McGrath Foundation are now taking their care to all cancers, ensuring that no one with cancer, misses out on care.

Pacing For Pink, an initiative founded in Victoria, will be run as an Australian-wide campaign for the fourth straight year, with drivers from all states voluntarily donning the pink pants in support of the campaign from 1 to 31 May.

Marg Watson, Pacing For Pink Coordinator said “Pacing For Pink is delighted to have Club Menangle participating in the campaign again as they have been fantastic supporters over the years.

It is wonderful to have both male and female drivers voluntarily wearing the pink pants throughout May, and they really wear them with pride. A number of the drivers have a connection or know of someone who has battled cancer, so it is lovely to see them supporting them by wearing the pink pants.”

Club Menangle will continue our involvement like in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and have committed to donating for the following success at our track across the nine race meetings we hold in May:

  • $200 for each win recorded by a driver in the Pink Pants at Club Menangle
  • $200 for each female training win recorded at Club Menangle
  • $200 for each win that is recorded by a horse carrying saddlecloth Number 8 at Club Menangle

Club Menangle Chief Executive Officer Bruce Christison said: "We are very much looking forward to participating in the 2025 Pacing For Pink campaign, and hopefully we can continue to raise funds and awareness for the McGrath Foundation.

"Our local community are driving forces in supporting the campaign, and it is exciting to have Coutts Lawyers & Conveyancers join Club Menangle as the Pacing For Pink Event Partner for the next two years.

Each year, we see the incredible work our participants and sponsors do in coming together to support these important causes just like Pacing For Pink.”

On Saturday, 10 May, Club Menangle will host our iconic Coutts Pacing For Pink event, proudly supported by Coutts Lawyers & Conveyancers.
