Well known Kadina horseman Tyson Linke, who brought out the inaugural winner of the $2million The Eureka in Encipher, has a single entry in the Australian Pacing Gold SA Yearling Sale at Magic Millions on Sunday.

It is Lot 517, a bay colt by the USA 2YO Colt of the Year and millionaire pacer Stay Hungry, last season’s second leading first crop sire with 20 individual winners including the classic winners Hunger Strike and Snowiewillrev.

He’s the second foal of the Four Starzzz Shark mare Queen Of Sharkz (1:55.6), a winner of 13 races and a placegetter in the SA Oaks, Southern Cross, Sapling Stakes and Ladyship Stakes and a member of the same family as horses the calibre of Gold Rainbow (Tatlow Memorial), Hike Along and King Rainbow ($188,622).

The colt, who is being prepared by Mandy Pascoe and Samantha Hill’s Ningana Park, carries a 4x4 cross to the American supersire Cam Fella.

Buchfelde breeder Val Bain, whose horses carry the ‘Hilltop’ prefix, will be represented by Lot 527, a bay colt by the brilliant, young Captaintreacherous horse Captain Crunch, the sire of 29 winners from his first Australian crops. They include the Group/Listed winners Captain Stirling, Sebastian James, Its Maa Time and Miss Crunchy.

Hilltop Belladonna (1:58.8), the dam of the colt, is a Mach Three half-sister to the Ladyship Stakes winner and Golden Nursery placegetter Hilltop Rose (1:56.9) and the Mermaid Stakes victor and Southern Cross Final placegetter Hilltopsomewhere (1:56.7).

The colt’s third dam, Motoring Bye, won 15 races including the Ladyship Stakes and left four winners including the Lordship Stakes and Breeders Crown, Vicbred and Southern Cross heat winner Hilltop Raider.

Lot 528, a bay colt consigned by Globe Derby Park couple Jim and Cheryl Herman, is the sole colt in the Adelaide sale by the champion sire Rock N Roll Heaven, the sire of Swayzee, Expensive Ego, Wolf Stride, etc.

He’s the first foal of the successful Grinfromeartoear mare Carol McCoy (1:58.3), who ranks as a half-sister to the exported Nota Replica 1:51.6 ($189,719), Louis Sedgwick 1:54.4 ($123,843) and the Vicbred heat and semi-final winner Virgil Hilts (1:56.3).

Other members of this family have been the Tontine winner Zanzi Bromac, Heathbern Bruce (1:57.5), War Chest (1:56.4) and the Tasmanian Youthful Stakes placegetter Charlie James.

The colt’s pedigree features two strong strains of the blood of the influential sires Artsplace and Cam Fella.
