Stewards today concluded a steward’s inquiry into the conduct of stable hand Mr. Blair Fidler on the evening of 6th October 2024 in the Launceston Pacing Club race course car park at the stabling entrance.
Stewards after taking initial evidence from club employed security guards Mrs. Patricia Ann Bishop and Mr. Tim William Scott along with Mr Wayne Yole and Richard Housego and stable hand Blair Fidler on the night, adjourned the inquiry to the Offices of Racing Integrity on Monday 14-10-2024 at 1pm.
Stable hand Blair Fidler today along with support person Ben Yole, gave more evidence into this incident, and Stewards after taking into account all evidence tendered at both inquiries charged stable hand Mr. Blair Fidler under the provisions of rule 231 (2).
The particulars were that Blair Fidler did misconduct himself by swearing in the vicinity of the security guards while trying to perform their work.
Mr Fidler pleaded guilty to the charge.
Stewards fined Blair Fidler $1000 and issued a suspension of 3 months. This suspension will be suspended for a period of 24 months and will be invoked should he be in breach of this rule during this time. In addition to this a previously suspended fine of $1000 has been invoked.
Mr Fidler was advised of his appeal rights.
