ONE win resulted in two milestones in Gawler yesterday.

Scoring from barrier four, Golden Jaylet celebrated his 150th start with an eye-catching triumph for trainer Kathryn Pickering.

Rating 1:58.9 over 2070 metres, the 11-year-old took his record to 18 victories, 13 seconds and 12 thirds for earnings of $64,358.

Golden Jaylet has notched 16 wins under Pickering's care.

"He has been a great horse to train," Pickering said. "He's no star, but is very consistent and rarely puts in a bad run.

"I'm not getting any younger and he could quite possibly be the last horse I train, so every win with him is a bonus."

Beating Clarenden Vintage by nine metres, with Tufftiger two metres away third, Golden Jaylet was driven by popular reinswoman Lisa Ryan, who registered her 300th success.

"I am rapt for Lisa," Pickering said. "She was so excited to get her 300th win and deserves every one of them.

"Lisa has driven Jaylet in 14 of his wins for me and I am thrilled he was able to be her 300th.

"Hopefully they can win a few more together before he is retired."
