Fox Sports News presenter Jemma Barge has implored punters to unleash their inner-fashionista when the world’s richest harness race The TAB Eureka returns to Club Menangle on 7 September.
Jemma has been unveiled as the official Fashions on the Field ambassador for the $2.1 million race and is confident the competition to be judged as one of the event’s best-dressed will be just as fierce as the battle for glory on track.
It will be the second running of the exciting and lucrative race which has taken the harness racing industry by storm and created headlines around the world.
“There were 10,000 people trackside last year and we’re on track to be even bigger and better when it returns next month so I’m so excited to be involved and can’t wait to see everyone styled up in their best race-wear to mark the occasion,” Ms Barge said.
Jemma is one of the rising stars of Fox Sports and has already narrowed down her selection of who she will be backing in the big race.
“I’ve got to go with the four-year-old mare Eye Keep Smiling. Last year the only girl in the race came out on top so why not again? The ladies have been dominating over in Paris so let’s keep that theme going! I’m all in on Eye Keep Smiling. Go the girls!”
There will be plenty of entertainment for all at Club Menangle with Jessica Mauboy and Alex Lloyd providing trackside concerts during the night.
