Drivers and Trainers please be aware of the new driver change feature within HarnessWeb which allows a driver to confirm which drive they wish to take when they are down on multiple runners in a race.
By using the "Confirm" button an automated text message will be sent to the trainer of the other horse or horses to notify they will need to find a new driver.
Full details of the key features available on HarnessWeb for this new enhancement are as follows:
- The "My Engagements" screen in HarnessWeb is upgraded to include a "Confirm" button for drivers when they are dual nominated so that they can confirm which horse they are driving.
- The "Confirm" buttons will be available only if the driver is down on multiple runners in the same race.
- Confirming the drive will remove the driver’s name against the other horse or horses in the race.
- An SMS will be sent to notify the trainer of the horse that the driver has confirmed to take the drive and also the trainer of the horse where the driver has declined the drive.
- An automated SMS notification (2 hours prior to the driver deadline key time) will be sent to trainers when:
- They have a driver on their horse who has been dual nominated.
- They have not assigned a driver to their horse.
- An automated SMS notification (2 hours prior to the driver deadline key time) will be sent to drivers when:
- They are dual nominated in a race.
