HRV Stewards today concluded inquiries regarding the conduct of Trainer/Driver Robert Walters during Stable inspections on 5 October 2023 and 24 November 2023.
Mr Walters was found guilty to two charges of misconduct under AHRR 231(2) the particulars of which were:
CHARGE 1
Robert Walters, a licensed Trainer and Driver with Harness Racing Victoria did misconduct himself whilst being interviewed by HRV Investigative Stewards on 5 October 2023, at the Training Premises located at 26 Burgess Road.
CHARGE 2
Robert Walters, a licensed Trainer and Driver with Harness Racing Victoria did misconduct himself whilst being interviewed on 24 November 2023, at the Training Premises located at 26 Burgess Road when making derogatory remarks to an Official.
After considering submissions on penalty HRV Stewards issued the following penalties to Mr Walters with respect to the charges:
CHARGE 1 – A fine of $1000
CHARGE 2 – A fine of $2000
Mr Walters was also advised of his rights of appeal.
