HRNSW reminds all participants and persons involved in the NSW harness racing industry that the NSW Government health order requires you to be fully vaccinated to attend any racecourse at any time.

In addition, HRNSW has continued to monitor NSW Government health advice and advises that the following changes have been made to HRNSW COVID-19 industry protocols with immediate effect:

  • SEGREGATION OF LICENSED PARTICIPANTS AND ON COURSE PATRONS

There is no longer a requirement for Clubs to ensure segregation between licensed participants and on course patrons for race meetings and trials.

It should be noted, however, for security purposes raceday stable facilities for the 2021 Inter Dominion Carnival will require segregation between licensed participants and on course patrons, other than owners of horses running in those events.

As mentioned above, ALL persons must be fully vaccinated to attend a racecourse for any purpose.

  • COVID TESTS- Interstate Participants

Industry participants who reside outside of NSW are no longer required to provide a negative COVID test result to HRNSW prior to attending any race meeting, trials or training facility.

Importantly, however, ALL NSW and interstate participants should continue to monitor and comply with NSW Government Health Orders and the requirements of their home State.

  • COVID TESTS- Casual Contacts

All HRNSW staff will be required to undertake a COVID Test if they are classified as a casual contact moving forward. There is an expectation that all harness racing participants would also follow this measure to ensure the protection of the industry.

Any person wishing to make enquiries should contact HRNSW Stewards on 9722 6655 or email stewards@hrnsw.com.au

HRNSW management reminds all industry participants of the available industry support program.

HRNSW will continue to monitor NSW Government Health Orders and will provide further updates to the HRNSW Industry as required.
