As a result of the NSW Government COVID-19 health orders and restrictions, HRNSW has considered the options available for horses trained interstate or within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) to compete in the NSW Breeders Challenge Series.

Consequently, HRNSW advises that there are two (2) options available for interstate Trainers or those located within the ACT as follows:

  • The first option is for horses to be transported by a legitimate horse transport company approved by HRNSW to a Trainer’s Representative (Licensed Trainer) in NSW.

Horses transported in this manner are required to be at the registered training establishment of the Trainer’s Representative in NSW prior to 8am on raceday.

A Trainer’s Representative form is required to be completed and approved by HRNSW Stewards prior to the transport of any horse being undertaken in this manner.

  • The second option is for a stable return to be completed and the horse transferred into the care of a NSW Licensed Trainer who will remain as the trainer for the 2021 NSW Breeders Challenge series.

Any horse transferred in this manner is then required to be transported by a legitimate horse transport company approved by HRNSW to a NSW based Trainer prior to the close of nominations for the NSW Breeders Challenge race.

Any enquiries should be directed to HRNSW Stewards on (02) 9722 6655.

HRNSW management reminds all industry participants of the available industry support program.
