DISQUALIFIED PERSON -ZEKE SLATER INQUIRY

On Thursday August 9 2018 Office of Racing Integrity Stewards inquired into the betting activities of Mr Slater which occurred during the term of his disqualification.
Evidence was tabled showing betting activities across all three codes of racing between February 2016 and November 2017 with a number of Wagering Service Providers.
Mr Slater was found guilty of charges pursuant to AHRR 259(j) which states that a disqualified person cannot place, or have placed on their behalf, or have any other interest in a bet on any Australian Harness racing race.
Mr Slater was given until 5 p.m on Thursday August 16 2018 to provide submissions on penalty in relation to AHRR 259(7) and submissions in relation to AHRR 259A, which states ” In addition to any penalty imposed pursuant to AHRR 259(7), the original period of disqualification shall unless otherwise ordered by the Stewards automatically recommence in full”.
