The Association of Victorian Country Harness Racing Clubs (AVCHRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Toby McKinnon to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Toby is an experienced club administrator, having filled roles at Yarra Valley Racing from 1998 as a harness committee member to a role on the club Board. In 2013 Toby resigned from his board position to take a full-time role as Operations Co-ordinator.

Toby’s passion for the sport comes mostly from his parents, who had great success as an owner of many talented horses, including Another Touch, Bowral Boy, Late Brewster and Falcon’s Legacy.

“I had the passion for harness racing bred into me, and through my connection at Yarra Valley Racing I have developed my interest in the sport through club management,” he said.

AVCHRC President Paul James said:

“With Toby’s experience at club level, we believe he will provide a seamless transition from and capitalise on the hard work of former CEO David Brick”
