Margaret Reynolds - recipient of the 2012 Meritorious Service Award

The 2012 Annual General Meeting of Harness Racing Australia (HRA) unanimously ratified a recommendation from the HRA Executive to present a Meritorious Service Award in recognition of outstanding service and industry contributions.

The Meritorious Service Award recognises achievement, commendable effort and diligence in administration on a National or State basis of long service.

The Award this year has been given to Ms Margaret Reynolds. Ms Reynolds has been a great supporter of the industry over a sustained period as an owner and breeder. Margaret has also served on the committees of Rocklea, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Redcliffe and Marburg harness racing clubs as well as having been active as a board member of the Queensland Harness Racing Board. She is currently the Secretary / Treasurer of the Queensland BOTRA.   Most of these roles have been undertaken in a voluntary capacity where she has shown an outstanding level of passion and dedication to the roles undertaken.
