MAORI MISS
(1960)
was a noted racehorse and broodmare.
She was dual gaited and won as both a pacer and a trotter.
Eight of her thirteen foals were winners and she was the
recipient of the Winona Award three times running, 1977-1979.
Her foals include the legendary racehorse and sire, MAORI’S
IDOL, and top broodmare
MAORI TRUMP, also a recipient of the
Winona Award (1996) and dam of NOOPY KIOSK, the Australian Horse of the
Year in the same year. Maori
Miss’ legacy is responsible for a host of star trotters including
BLITZTHEMCALDER, SUMTHINGABOUTMAORI, MAORI TIME and PINK GALAHS.
