After an
amazing week of racing and activities, the representatives of the Alabar
Australasian Young Drivers Championships have all headed back to
their
respective states and country, none happier than the winner of the series
Gareth Rattray.
Rattray had
a commanding lead early in the series and was able to sustain it right
through into the finals on Sunday as part of the 2010 Watpac
Inter Dominion
Finals day racing card.
Rattray won
the series on 76 points, with Dexter Dunn of NZ South Island making the most
of his limited opportunities to finish second overall with a
point score of
56. Completing the top three standings was fellow kiwi Roydon Downey, the NZ
North Island representative, on 52 points.
HRNSW would
like to thank the major sponsors of the series Alabar Bloodstock for their
ongoing support of development in the industry. Special thanks
also to the
chaperones Rachael and David Micallef.
